About Teresa Capers

Teresa Capers, Licensed Therapist Serving Adults in North Carolina & South Carolina

I'm Teresa Capers, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. I provide warm, evidence-based virtual therapy for adults who may be navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, grief, or a major life transition.

I bring more than 10 years of experience working with adults facing mental health and substance use challenges. That experience has shown me how much courage it can take to ask for support—especially when you have been carrying a lot while trying to keep everything together. My role is to meet you with compassion, listen without judgment, and help you move toward greater clarity, steadiness, and peace.

Our work may draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and solution-focused therapy. Together, we will choose practical approaches that fit your needs, goals, values, and season of life.

My own practice is rooted in Christian faith, but faith integration is always your choice. You do not have to be Christian, pray, or use Scripture in therapy. If faith is meaningful to you, we can include it; if you prefer therapy without faith-based elements, you will receive the same thoughtful clinical care.

All sessions are offered virtually to adults who are physically located in North Carolina or South Carolina at the time of service. While my background includes supporting adults with substance use concerns, my current practice focuses on therapy for the mental health needs described on this site.
