    Navigating Grief with Grace

Flower growing toward light — navigating grief with grace

Grief is a journey no one prepares for, and yet so many must walk. If you are carrying the weight of loss—whether it be a loved one, a relationship, or even a season of life—know this: your pain is seen, and it matters to God.

Grief does not follow a timeline. Some days you may feel strong, while others feel unbearably heavy. This does not mean you are failing—it means you are human. Even in Scripture, we see that sorrow has its place. Ecclesiastes 3:4 reminds us there is "a time to weep, and a time to laugh." Give yourself permission to feel, to cry, and to process without rushing your healing.

God is near in your brokenness. Psalm 34:18 says:

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

When words fail and your heart aches beyond understanding, His presence remains steady. You may not always feel Him, but He has not left you.

Honoring your grief is part of honoring your love. What you lost mattered deeply, and your sorrow reflects that depth. Do not suppress it or compare your journey to others. Instead, bring it before God in honesty. He can handle your questions, your silence, and even your anger.

Yet even in grief, there is a gentle thread of hope. Not a rushed or forced joy, but a quiet assurance that healing will come. God, in His tender mercy, restores in ways we cannot always see at first. He will carry you through each wave, one day at a time.

Be patient with yourself. Surround yourself with those who can support you, and lean into God's Word when you have the strength. Healing is not forgetting—it is learning to live again while carrying love differently.

Today, take a deep breath. You are not alone in this valley. God walks beside you, holding every tear, and in time, He will turn your mourning into peace.

    Grace will meet you there.

If this spoke to you, I'd love to walk with you on your journey.
